Royyanna Young, MS, PhD
Licensed Professional Graduate Counselor
Ms. Young is a multifaceted therapist with experience providing therapy to a diverse group of clients of various ages, genders, and backgrounds. Ms. Young has assisted clients dealing with difficulties related to depression, anxiety, neurodevelopmental, and personality disorders. She enjoys working with an array of clients including teenagers and young adults. Over the years, Ms. Young has become an innovative therapist that utilizes many forms of therapeutic expression primarily through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Relational Cultural Theory, and Play Therapy Techniques. Ms. Young states, “For a lot of people, therapy can be a confusing and scary process. It is my job to create a therapeutic experience where new tools, insights, and honest expression of emotions can take place. I want my clients to walk away with a new perspective that can be useful within their everyday lives.

Damian Nwafor, PsyD
Psychological Associate
Dr. Nwafor completed her doctoral education in clinical psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She considers herself a generalist clinician who employs a holistic and integrative approach to therapy. She enjoys meeting each person uniquely according to their individual needs. She loves working with adolescents, young adults, and adults from different ethnic backgrounds with a wide array of psychological presentations and life challenges. She also enjoys providing and integrating spirituality in therapy. Having lived in three different cultures, including in Nigeria, Italy, and United States, she appreciated exploring the impact of various cultural backgrounds on clients’ mental health. She values a multicultural approach that acknowledges the influence of culture on the development and expression of psychopathologies.

Vanessa Anyanso, MS.
Psychology Extern
Vanessa Anyanso (she/her) is a Doctoral Candidate in Counseling Psychology at the University of Minnesota and a National Science Foundation Research Fellow. Ms. Anyanso identifies as a feminist and person-centered therapist and is passionate about providing culturally appropriate care for individuals with marginalized identities. She believes that each individual has the ability and drive to grow. She also acknowledges the impact that systems of oppression can play in her clients' lives while empowering them with the techniques drawn from evidence-based practices, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to make meaningful change in their lives.
Ms. Anyanso has experience providing both group and individual therapy to clients of many different ages, genders, and ethnic backgrounds. She has assisted clients dealing with difficulties related to depression, anxiety, and trauma. Her past clinical experiences include college counseling centers, community mental health settings, and VA settings.

Lakeyia Dulcio
Psychology Extern
Lakeiya Dulcio has a Master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Brenau University. Currently, she is pursuing her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Howard University.
Mrs. Dulcio provides therapy from an integrative approach utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, womanism theory, and solution-focused therapy. She intentionally provides a therapeutic space that validates her client’s feelings and acknowledges the cultural implications of their concerns. Lakeiya’s goal is to work alongside clients as they gain awareness and insight while working to become their healthiest and happiest selves.
Mrs. Dulcio welcomes clients from various backgrounds, cultures, and identities. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with concerns, including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, trauma, sexual and physical abuse, low self-esteem, and more. She has worked within private practices, collegiate and school settings, and community-based organizations.
She has a graduate specialization in Black feminisms and the mental health of Black women and is currently becoming certified in women’s studies.

Isaiah Sampson, BS, 1st Lt USAF
Mr. Isaiah Sampson is pursuing his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Uniformed Services University. He has experience working with diverse populations, including military personnel, college students, children, and adults from varied cultural backgrounds. His clinical experiences span issues from general coping and stress management to depression, anxiety/panic, trauma, chronic pain, anger related issues, suicidality, and more.
Mr. Sampson primarily utilizes a cognitive behavioral therapeutic approach, but practices an integrative style of therapy, mixing elements of acceptance and commitment therapy and psychodynamic therapy to adapt to individual client needs. His work is deeply informed by the experiences of historically underserved racial populations, ensuring culturally responsive care.
You can expect a warm, empathetic, and inviting therapeutic environment, where his clients can safely process their thoughts and emotions, increase in self-awareness and insight, and be empowered to press past life’s obstacles toward a more fulfilling and value-filled life.
