Trainees & Training

 

Master Programs

Students who are pursuing their Masters in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work may conduct therapeutic services at YNC. Master level trainees will conduct therapy and workshops within the Clinic. They will be supervised by a licensed psychologist on a weekly basis.

Doctoral Programs

YNC offers a full Externship/Practicum experience for students within the DC Metropolitan area. Our training is hybrid with students being required to do both in person and virtual experiences. Individuals in Counseling or Clinical doctoral may conduct therapy and assessment services within YNC. Advance doctoral students will also conduct workshops, support groups. and seminars. Once a week they have supervision with a licensed psychologist. They will also receive supervision from our Post Doc.

Post Docs

Currently, YNC’s Post Docs will work up to 30 hours a week. Post Docs will be paid 40,000 for a 12 month appointment. They will provide therapy to a maximum of 15 clients a week. They will conduct a monthly webinar for the community and may have the possibility to provide supervision. They will also provide assessments. This post doc position will allow them to learn about engaging in therapy in a private practice. Post Docs will engage in supervision, therapy, and assessments. They will also develop didactic seminars for all other trainees. The will be supervised by a licensed psychologist.
